A rose is long lasting flower shrub or vine that contains over 100 species and comes in a variety of colours. The rose has always been valued for its beauty and has a long history of symbolism. Dark crimson roses, on the other hand, are often used to signify mourning and therefore are appropriate gifts for the families of departed loved ones.
