Amaryllis Flowers
Amaryllis is sometimes called Hippeastrum, which means, "Knight Star". Members of the Amaryllidaceae family, amaryllises are at home in the tropics, and are native to South America and Africa. Flower colors go from white to deep red and include some eye-catching stripped varieties.

The amaryllis flower is a fantastic option for a variety of expressive gifts. These bold, beautiful blossoms are a symbol of intense beauty, timidity and determination. They are sometimes given to express how stunning the giver feels the recipient to be, or to tell them that they are dead-set on making their relationship strong and long lasting.

Care and Handling

If storing in a cool place, keep temperatures between 41-50 F. Temperatures below that may result in discoloration of petals and buds. Handle amaryllis carefully as blooms bruise easily and its stems damage easily.
